Summer and Reunion

It's been our RLE tradition that whenever Gale is here in the Philippines we will have our RLE reunion but as usual every year, we cannot complete ourselves but we don't care as long as a number of people will show up even if it's just three or four it's okay.

Anyways, this year, Gale, Haidz and Yhani wanted to have a beach reunion. The initial plan was to do it in Boracay but because of time constraints (almost all of us have a job and cannot get a week-long vacation), they decided that we should do it instead in Puerto Galera. Its a sudden announcement so only few were able to come.

This is my second time in Puerto Galera, but I'm still excited for this trip because of the planned activities Gale and Haidz were planning to do. My first trip in PG is so memorable due to different close to death encounters we had experienced. Anyways, at that time we stayed in White Beach Resort so to make it a little different this time, I asked Haidz to look for accommodation in the Tamaraw Beach instead and luckily we found one that is cheap considering its already a peak season.

Jes, Cis and I met Haidz and Gale in the bus station in Buendia then we took the 6am bus going to Batangas Port and there we meet up with Yhani and Edward. We then took a boat ride going to Puerto Galera. We reached the island around lunch time but our service going to the beach resort wasn't there so we decided to call them up.
We were really amazed at the place when we arrived there. It's like being in a private beach resort due to few tourists and the calmness and serenity of the place is too overwhelming. Ang sarap magpahinga talaga. We then ordered for our lunch which is quite disappointing kasi ang tagal nilang i-serve. But to our surprise the food serving is really big quite the contrary to what the receptionist mentioned. The food is quite delicious too and even though it's a bit costly it is all worth it.

After eating lunch, we asked the receptionist if they could give us a ride in the SandBar where we already have an appointment for our banana boat ride. Its a good thing that the Tamaraw Beach Ressort is the same owner of the place. Feel na feel tuloy talaga namin na mga bakasyonista kami. When we arrived in the SandBar, there were no other tourist instead of our group, solong-solo tuloy namin yung lugar and they even gave us additional 10 minutes in the banana boat so instead of just 20 minutes 30 minutes kaming nagbabanana boat ride.

After that, we returned to the resort then played some beach volleyball till dusk. After that linis na ng katawan then went to White Beach for the night party. Weird lang dahil ang konti ng tao so hindi mo ramdam yung party scene that night and ang lamig pa. Around midnight, Jes, Cis, Yhani and Edward decided to return already in the resort.I stayed behind to accompany Haidz and Gale.
The following morning, we decided that we will do snorkelling and island hopping but Jes and Cis decided to do a rain check. They rather enjoyed the beach daw kasi last day na nila and they will not have enough time to explore White Beach. At dahil kasama namin sila Yhani in doing the snorkelling and island hopping parang hindi rin namin nasulit dahil nagmamadali kami dahil baka maiwan ng boat sina Yhani. pero in all fairness naman sulit pa rin ung ginawa naming activities.
Haidz, Gale and I decided to stay behind and have our vacation extended, unfortunately hindi rin na-enjoy ni Haidz dahil nagkasakit sya during our second night. Pero before that happened we were supposedly do parasailing our visit the Tamaraw Falls but because we don't have enough budget anymore, we decided na magpahenna tatoo na lang and do a massage the following morning.

All in all, my second trip to Puerto Galera is also memorable minus the scary part. More of fun actually considering that I'm having a night duty the same day we returned to Manila. I really loved my RLE kaya I'm hoping that someday we can really have a reunion that all of us were complete.
